My Birthday

Well... Yesterday was my birthday. It was unlike any birthday I ever had. I woke up and opened Frozen. I AM SO HAPPY... about that anyways...

At school, my friend, Anne got me the best card EVER!!! I am not gonna say what was in it but it was the best one ever. :)

She also brought be a cake, and that is my birthday before 8:00 AM. I went to my locker and Lauren had decorated it. There was also a gift in it when I opened it. I got five throughout the day. They were awesome!!!

I would have gone to practice, but I didn't empty my gear from my locker and we moved to another pool while ours gets repaired. Instead, we went out to dinner. We went to Chili's.

At dinner, I found out my grandmother died that morning ;(

From now on, I will probably be sad on my birthday ;(

When we got home, we watched Frozen.

My dad liked it. We had a conversation about how Disney kills the parents or they are kidnapped or something...

The Theater Showcase

It was a great show!!! All of the actors knew just what to do, they knew all their lines, it was funny, it was great.

Lauren was in it and her mom was my ride. After the show, Lauren had to clean up a little backstage. So, my sister, Tyler, goes and sits on the stage. She knows she isn't supposed to, and I told her... repeatedly that she shouldn't be up there. Danielle, Lauren's little sister, decides she wants to sit up on the stage with her. I keep her down for a while, but she did get up there so Tyler and I pulled her down.

She started to complain. "Why can't I sit up there if she can?" and I said "She is a junior. You wanna pull her down, go for it."

Keeping in mind Danielle is only 11ish, I know she couldn't pull her down. What I didn't count on was two people from the play offer to help the little girl.

I tried to keep Tyler up/make sure she came down smoothly, but the two people and Danielle were stronger than me and plowed her off the stage. Tyler hit the ground hard and re-hurt her knees and her shoulder. She blames me and the first thing she does when we get home is tell mom.

She comes in crying "Ashlynn pushed me off the stage."

In my defense it was a meaningless comment I made to Danielle. It was a joke. Danielle COULD NOT EVER EVER EVER pull her down. So I thought I would humor her.

Tyler blames me for making the joke, but she would have done the same thing if she were in my shoes.

If you ask me, it is her fault for sitting on the stage. She got multiple warnings and she even helped me pry Danielle from them once or twice. Tyler should have known better than to sit on the stairs, and frankly, those other two people should have minded their own business.

After she told mom, and I started to say my side of the story, she yells a screech that sounds like something in a horror movie would scream that sounded like 'get out'. So I did.

Mom talked to her for a minute or two then came up to where I was. She accused me of not being a good sister, and that I don't get to pick when I am a good sister, I should just always be one.

The worst part of the whole thing, was that my mom said it in her quiet voice that is even more scary than when she is yelling. When she yells it is bad, but when she is quiet, it means that she is so mad her voice cannot show just how mad she is.

Spring Break

So, for spring break, I went to Punta Cana in the Dominican republic. If you don't know where that is, that is ok. Just know it is an island below Mexico/USA.

It was fun, except the fact that I was eaten alive by mosquitos. I also got bad sunburn the first day, but it is a cute tan now. :)

One of the waiter guys at the pool always called me baby. It was weird. When I said I wasn't thirsty, he brought me drinks anyways.

The plane ride there was boring, and the one back my nose was stuck in my book. Don't even get me started on what happened then. X(

Before I left for my trip, I was leaving after the last bell, chatting with my friend, Lexi. She told me to have fun and, of course that I have to bring her a souvenir. The weird part is, she told me to bring her back a hot guy. This is what I get for telling her I was gonna flirt all break. Then Lauren chimes in that she wanted one too. They ended up getting little doll like things wearing dresses. Lexi insisted it was a boy and named it Satin (I hope she was jk).

Swimming Banquet

So... We went to the swimming banquet tonight. I thought it was just for regional swimmers, but I was wrong. It was the end of the season banquet.

We bring food, appetizers or deserts. First, we eat, then we do awards, then we did the raffle things.

We go down the line of food and pick whatever, like a buffet. We sit down and eat for a while.

After a while, they call the attention to the small table with the awards. First, they give participation awards, or as me and Lauren like to call them: Reminders of Failure and Certificates of Suckiness.

After the awards they had an announcement about next season (the roof collapsed and they kinda have to fix it because they closed down two lanes and we are all crammed into four lanes). I am going to skip over that because it was long and boring.

When they went to the raffles, I didn't really expect to win anything... Like last year. I actually expected Lauren to win and me to not.

What happened was, I put one card in one, two in another, and three in the third basket I wanted (there were a lot of baskets, like thirty). I was so excited about the one I put three in. Lauren had a ton of cards, like three times the amount of me. She put like, one in the basket with the nook (not one of my options. I have a kindle). She put about five in a different basket and the rest in the one with the $100 gift card to Dicks Sporting Goods.
 I ended up winning the raffle I only put one ticket into. In the basket was a Reeses, a swim lesson with my least favorite coach, and a coach bag. A small one. I looked it over and it is worth almost $60. I got it for free with luck.

This Weekend

This is the first weekend that I have absolutely nothing to do... I am so happy!!!

For the past few weekends I have had swim practice, or a meet, or in last weeks case, TP night Friday night, watching the guys Sectionals, and my last swim meet if the season Sunday.

All I have planned is stay at home and watch movies. I just watched Percy Jackson, the first one, and I have a few more in mind for later this weekend. Maybe some Narnia, or Pirates of the Caribbean. I might also just look up some on Youtube and pull it up on the big screen.

This weekend will also consist of, hopefully, writing more of my book, and sleeping in (during the school year, the latest I "sleep in" is nine or ten o'clock).

I watch this show often, and I find it very interesting. I also hate this show very much. It makes me very mad, and I feel stupid when I miss something. I usually go to bed thinking about how stupid it really was.

All about Tyler

I believe I said it in my first post, but I have a sister named Tyler. Friday was her birthday. On Saturday, aka yesterday, we went out for her birthday dinner (family tradition thing). We went to hibachi (however you spell that).

It was fun, and there was another three women at out grill, one of them was also celebrating a birthday.

After that we went to the Walmart right next to it and got her a new case for her kindle, and I got Now 49.

I am so excited to listen to all my new music. :D

One weird mall trip o. o

so, we went to the mall yesterday night. we went and tried stuff on and had fun with it.

When we were checking out though, you could hear someone running in the store. The woman who was checking us out was calmly scanning out items and said kinda quietly: "no running in the store."

At that moment, a 40 ish year old man ran around where we were checking out and out the door. A few seconds later, another man, also around 40, ran after him, throwing something on the ground before he exited. A few more seconds later, a cop went running after them.

Us and the woman checking us out were confused. We chatted for it for like 10 seconds before the second man came back in the store, picked up what he threw to the ground, and said into a walkie talkie: "did you get the plate?"

He wasn't watching where he was going I guess, cause he walked into a dress rack. Then he said a quiet, but bad, cuss word.

It kinda reminds me of when we were there shopping for Christmas, because there was a walkie talkie left in the bra section x, x

I think that is the weirdest trip to the mall I have ever taken...

In other news, yesterday was a snowday, I thought today was Monday when I went to school.

big decision

I have decided between the fact that I have swim practice from 7:15 to 8:45 and that after I get home from school, about 4:00, I am not going to blog as often.

the interesting stuff happens more at swimming, and I don't have the energy to get on after and I don't wanna chat about my boring day at school... so don't expect many more posts.

more about the weather

i feel like I am running the weather channel with all these blogs about the bad weather.
I had to get a new pic for my passport if I wanna go on vacation over spring break, so we went to the post office this morning. My dad checked the website before we went, and it said you didn't need an appointment. When we got there, they said you did in fact need an appointment, but the people who should have been there when we got there weren't there, prob cause of weather, she squeezed us in.
She was nice :D

Wow, more snow... I swear, give it an hour, and the clouds wont have any more snow. I don't think anything that has that much snow can float.

Weird, sucky day

I never have homework in software apps, but today I didn't get it finished!!! It was the weirdest thing...

Luckily, I have digital multi media right after it. So I finished my work in that class, finished stuff for software apps, then I had like, a half hour to work on my stuff for fun. :P

I have swim practice, but it is gonna be sad and boring because Lauren has theater while I am at practice. :(

wow, what are the odds? and no, we didn't have another snow day.

We had a half day... Seriously! will we ever go back to school? cause if we don't, we have to make them up and that is taking up my summer vaca~not cool! I do kinda have something that I still haven't done, but I keep getting distracted by stuff! o. o pretty... FOCUS!!!

Another lazy day

We had another snow day today. It is only 12:30 and I am at the point of boredom.

I didn't finish some of the stuff I was supposed to do yesterday, and I have another chance to do it.

On the worse side, my mom gave me some other stuff I have to do, too.

I had to make dinner. technically I only started it. for the most part you just throw in the stuff and leave it alone for a few hours.

Nothing happened yesterday or today so I didn't have anything interesting to say. Sorry

Snow Days

Good Morning :)

Today I am gonna talk about snow days. They are nice, but they mess up my schedule. I think Tuesdays are Mondays, and Thursdays are like Fridays.

 Not only do they mess up my schedule, but it also throws off my sleep. I get a ton of extra sleep, then the rest of the week I feel deprived.

Usually I am occupied for an hour or two, but eventually I get bored.

I looked out the window when I woke up this morning, and it didn't even look like a snow day. There was less then an inch of snow, they canceled school cause it was cold and there were horrible winds, but when I looked outside, everything was still!

Not what i had in mind...

I was gonna bring up a few things on my blog when I got on today, but right now all I wanna do is complain about the weather!!!

As I said in my last blog, I was in St. Louis for my swim meet. It ended at around 5 and we came home. When we left, it was more than 50 degrees, then as we drove back home, into Illinois, the temperature dropped pretty fast. less then an hour later, it was below freezing, extreme wind, and raider snow (what we call the snow the blows around the road)!!! It was awful!

Not to mention my phone died near the beginning of the 3 hour trip. When I got home, I plugged it in, and I had like almost 10 texts waiting for me. Some about no school and some from my friend, who was in the car with me~not to mention, knew my phone was dead, goofing around

Now that I got that out of the way, the swim meet for me, once again, sucked... no bests or firsts.

We did get Panera, like we do before all the meets, but in St. Louis, on the sign and all the bags, where ever the logos are, the way it says Panera, the cool font, instead, the St. Louis was in that font. it had the woman logo picture thing, but it didn't say Panera anywhere!!!

I had like 7 other things I wanted to say, but I forgot everything during the long car ride.

First Post

Heya out there... world. It kinda goes without saying, but I am Ashlynn. My best friend's name is Lauren Gantt. She has a blog, too. www.laurengantt.blogspot.com. look it up. :)

Slightly more personal: I love to swim, play on the computer, hang out with my friends, most foods, Disney movies, Wizard101, and more random stuff I can't think of at the moment. if you need to know it, I will tell you then rant/say whatever.

I have one older sister, one older brother, a mom,and a dad. it goes without saying, but they are older, too.

I also like to use weird symbols and abbreviations for random stuff. I also use # often and stupidly.

Now that you know the basics about me, you should know that right now I am in St. Louis, Missouri for a swim meet. We are staying in a hotel. I am in the room right next to Lauren, so we decided to have a sleepover in her room. we started watching Frozen, and we chatted for a while. we made jokes and we played Flappy Birds.

I don't see what everyone likes about it. I played it. the first time I played it, I was addicted, but when I really thought about it, it is just a dumb game where you try to get a small bird~like thing through to pipes from Mario.

The meet this morning~for me~was bad (the ~ is a symbol that I like to use instead of the - key, as mentioned above). no best times :(. doesn't surprise me though, I haven't been to practice since Tuesday. my sister has been sick, idk why I didn't go though. big mistake!!!

When I swim, I am supposed to go over and talk to my coaches about my race, but I didn't want to... I know it was a bad race, they would tell me it was, and frankly, they give a lot of pushups. :(
